This reinforces Qire’s commitment to security best practices and gives our customers confidence that data that they share with us is handled with care and consideration.

Qire has just undergone its latest external Audit since gaining certification under ISO 27001 (formally BS 7799 and ISO 17799) which is the recognised international standard for an Information Security Management System (ISMS). As a result we are delighted to confirm that we have retained and indeed strengthened our certification in this area with many ongoing improvements made over the last 6 months ,including attainment of specific professional Security qualifications by our Operations Team.

The work done in this regard continues to reflect the attention that Qire devote to this important topic in line with the fast growth experienced to date and planned for this year. It adds an official recognition of the highly secure processes Qire use within its communications automation services which are being widely adopted across enterprises in the UK.

New Non Executive Chairman Appointed

Qire are pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Paul Morrissey as non executive chairman to the board.

Paul’s profile:

A highly accomplished International IT/Telecommunications and Utilities Business Technology Professional and Technology Entrepreneur with over 30 years of Corporate Executive Level experience in the Public Sector and Corporate Enterprise environments within the technology, utilities and software development domains. He operates on a global basis in the fields of Advanced Data Centre, Utilities, Communications, Telco Operational Support Systems, Business/Technology Transformation, Software Development, Security Protocols, IT and Forensics in the ‘Emerging Telecommunications -Utilities’ and Government environment.

Paul has successfully launched several EIS schemes over the past five years in the Creative and Digital Media environment. Paul has also funded and sold numerous companies over the past fifteen years in the Data/Telecommunications/Utilities environment including but not limited to Data Centers, OSS Technology, Digital and Creative Media, Content Companies and Technology Managed Services businesses.

Paul has a long ongoing successful association with Liverpool John Moors University (LJMU) and especially with the school of Mathematics and Computing at LJMU and has pioneered multiple undergraduate and graduate level schemes enabling students to transition into Industry from the University. He has specialized in the transfer of the University technology ‘IPR’ into various Business opportunities both through spin out and through leverage with Major International corporations, under his guidance these concepts have been taken to market and successfully monetized in the Digital environment.

The launch event of the year will be held at the Gallery Soho – London in September. The next generation Qire Qore platform will be launched to market in what promises to be a truly dazzling and fun filled event with guest speaker, key note speeches and on-going demonstrations of the system.

There will also be a film commissioned taking you into the heart of the technology on a journey through the evolution of communication – get ready and don’t miss out. Watch this space as details of the event date and speaker will be released in August 2011.
